Shri Chandanaji Maharaj, the first Sadhvi ever to earn the title of Acharya, started a spiritual and cultural movement and introduced a new chapter in the history of Jain religion. She established the first Jain institution, Veerayatan, where the concept of service to mankind is not only preached by nuns but also practised by them. It was she who vowed to make Upadhyaya Amar Muniji’s dream come true. In spite of the magnitude of problems and challenging conditions, she never flinched or resigned.
